We strongly prefer fixed-scope, milestone-based delivery. You know what you're getting, when, and at what cost before we start. Time and materials contracts tend to create misaligned incentives — we avoid them.

Yes — and we're used to it. Most legacy systems we work on have poor or no documentation. We assess the codebase directly. It takes a bit longer, but it's not a blocker.

Only if it's the right approach — which is rare. Most modernizations we do are incremental: we replace parts of the system while the rest keeps running. Big-bang rewrites are high-risk and we avoid recommending them unless truly necessary.

Yes, actively. We use AI for code generation, code review, test writing, documentation, and more. This lets us move faster without compromising quality. Senior engineers remain responsible for architecture and judgment calls.

We're technology-agnostic on the "what to modernize" side — we can work with most legacy stacks. For new development, we use modern web technologies: TypeScript, React/Angular, Node.js, Java/Spring, .NET, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).

We cut scope ruthlessly while protecting what matters most. We'd rather deliver something that works on time than something perfect that's late. In rescue situations, we first stabilize before we accelerate.

No — that's not our model. We deliver, document, and hand over. Your team should be able to own and maintain what we build. We offer optional ongoing support, but we don't create dependency.

Primarily remote, which is how we work best. We're based in Warsaw, Poland, and our clients are mostly across Western Europe and Scandinavia. We can visit for critical milestones when needed.

We're most effective on engagements of 4 weeks or more. For shorter scopes — like a code audit — we can discuss. We don't take on single-day consulting or ad-hoc hourly work.
