Headless commerce

Headless commerce without risky replatforming

The platform still processes orders fine — the storefront can't keep up with the business. We build fast storefronts on commercetools, Shopify Plus, Medusa, Saleor, or the backend you already run, and migrate traffic gradually.

The wall

When the store outgrows its platform

[ Ceiling ]

The theme hit its limit

Every promo banner needs a developer, every new plugin makes the site slower, and mobile scores keep dropping.

[ Cost ]

Replatforming quotes are scary

A full migration costs six figures and freezes development for a year. You need more options than "live with it" or "replace everything".

[ Speed ]

Slow pages cost real money

Every second of load time cuts conversion. A product page that takes four seconds on 4G means paying for traffic that leaves before the page renders.

What we do

The storefront changes. The backend is your call

Headless means the frontend talks to commerce through APIs. That opens options between "keep everything" and "replace everything".

Headless storefronts

A fast frontend in Next.js or Astro on top of the platform you already run — Shopify Plus, commercetools, Magento, or a custom backend. Checkout, payments, and admin stay where they are.

Composable commerce builds

For retailers that outgrew the monolith: commercetools, Medusa, or Saleor as the commerce engine, a headless CMS for content, one storefront on top. You swap parts as you grow instead of replatforming.

Headless CMS for marketing

Contentful, Storyblok, Sanity, or Strapi wired into the storefront. Marketing ships landing pages, banners, and campaigns without a developer or a deploy.

Storefront performance engineering

Server-side rendering, edge caching, image pipelines. Core Web Vitals in the green is a project requirement, because it moves both SEO and conversion.

B2B commerce

Per-client price lists, bulk ordering, quote workflows, ERP integration. The features B2B buyers need and most storefronts lack.

Migration in steps

Highest-traffic pages first, old and new storefronts in parallel, traffic moved gradually. Revenue keeps flowing through the whole transition.

The stack: Next.js · Astro · Shopify Plus · commercetools · Medusa · Saleor · Contentful · Storyblok · Magento API · ERP / PIM integrations.

How we work

From audit to cutover — gradual by design

  1. [ 01 ]

    Store audit

Traffic, funnels, platform constraints, what is worth keeping. You get numbers before you make decisions.

  2. [ 02 ]

    Architecture and proof

We take one key page headless and measure it against the current one. The business case comes from data, not slides.

  3. [ 03 ]

    Storefront build

Fixed scope, weekly demos, the highest-traffic templates first.

  4. [ 04 ]

    Gradual cutover

Page groups switch one by one, with full URL mapping and Search Console monitoring. No downtime, no SEO cliff.

FAQ

Common questions about headless commerce

Do we have to leave our current platform?

No. In most projects the platform stays as the backend and only the frontend changes. Replatforming is a separate decision — and often an unnecessary one.

What happens to SEO during the migration?

We map every URL, keep or redirect all of them, and switch traffic gradually while watching Search Console. Done this way, rankings usually improve, because Core Web Vitals improve.

Can marketing still edit content?

More than before. A headless CMS gives marketing landing pages, banners, and campaigns without waiting for a developer.

How do you handle enterprise scale — catalogs, markets, integrations?

That is the case headless was built for: multi-market storefronts on one commerce backend, catalogs in the tens of thousands of SKUs, and ERP, PIM, and search integrated through APIs instead of plugins.

Is headless overkill for our size?

Sometimes it is. If a well-configured theme covers your needs, the audit will say so. Headless pays off when traffic, catalog size, or custom features exceed what themes handle.

Start with the audit, not the rebuild

You get numbers on traffic, funnels and platform constraints — then you decide how far to go.
